Mazzone Family Wedding-
As the daughter of Andrew Mazzone, it was clear that Ashleigh’s wedding to husband Nic was going to be amazing. The day didn’t disappoint with a breathtaking venue, great vibe, gorgeous food and wine and of course spectacular rings!
The Proposal-
Let’s rewind quickly to the engagement which took place on a planned trip to Uluru and the Northern Territory. It was day two, and unknown to Ash the engagement ring had been hidden in Nic’s tool box. Enjoying a picnic and spectacular sunset views over Uluru, Nic said he needed to check the pressure on the tyres, this is pretty common behaviour from Nic so Ash didn’t think too much into it. It wasn’t until he was down on one knee and proposing to her with a gorgeous round brilliant cut diamond accented by smaller diamonds set in the shoulders that she realised what was happening! What made it more special was it had been made by dad, Andrew Mazzone and Nic in secret.
The Wedding Day-
After the incredible proposal, Ashleigh and Nic set out to plan a wedding day that reflected their style perfectly. With a relaxed yet elegant vibe they wanted to keep their special day lighthearted and fun for guests with plenty of food, wine and dancing.
“Essentially we wanted a fun, intimate party with good food, wine and a cracking dance floor! We wanted people to leave that night feeling happy and loved up, and from the feedback we got we think we succeeded.”
With experience working with dad Andrew at many bridal fairs, many of the vendor decisions for the wedding were effortless. Choosing photographer Belinda Monck was the obvious choice “I met Belinda Monck our photographer at Love Cherish Adore and fell in love with both her work and her easy-going nature” said Ashleigh.
When it came to the wedding bands, choosing where to go was easy – with a Dad as a jeweller – but deciding which style to go for was difficult. Liking both matching and a fancy stacker style, Ash eventually decided to go for a matching wedding band, choosing the stacker style for a dress ring later. Nic went for a traditional Palladium polished wedding band to suit his simple taste.
Selecting the wedding gown was one of the toughest decisions to make. However, Ashleigh decided on a beautiful A-line gown with tulle and detailed embellishment that perfectly suited her. The finishing touch for her bridal look was an elegant pair of vintage style diamond drop earrings made by Dad, Andrew Mazzone.
The couple danced the night away with their closest friends and family and concluded the festivities with a magical send off, Nic carried Ashleigh through a sparkler exit whilst ‘Dancing in the moonlight’ played.
Ashleigh and Nic’s beautiful wedding was featured on the cover and in a spread for Love Cherish Adore’s fifth issue which is on sale now.
