Platinum Compared to Gold

While white gold and platinum both have a bright white colour, over time the rhodium plating on a white gold ring wears off and the ring can fade to a yellowish colour.

Being a naturally white metal, platinum does not require any rhodium plating. A polish every few years is all that’s needed to keep your jewellery sparkling.

Platinum makes an excellent option for clients with sensitive skin. As one of the purest metals used in jewellery with 95% platinum and only 5% other metals.

For comparison, 9ct gold contains 37.5% gold with 62.5% other metals.

18ct gold contains 75% gold and 25% other metals. It is these other metals that can cause skin irritations.
