The citrine was very popular during the Art Deco era, where people wore it in elaborate pieces to add to their outfits as a fashion statement.

The name comes from ‘citron’, the French word for ‘lemon’, describing the lemon-like shades in the stone.

Many people actually refer to the gem as the ‘success stone’ for its healing properties. It is said to enhance mental clarity, confidence and will power, while decreasing depression and self-destructive tendencies.
